What You’ll See on the Fall Foliage Flight
You came to Acadia for the foliage. This flight shows it to you from 1,100 feet. Unlike our summer flights that hug the coastline, this route heads inland where the color is most concentrated. Mountains, lakes, and open fields blanketed in red, orange, and gold. It’s a completely different experience from anything you’ll see on the ground, and the window to see it is narrow.
On this flight you’ll see:
- Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain along the coast
- Frenchman Bay as you cross toward the inland route
- Tunk Mountain and the surrounding peaks dressed in fall color
- Lakes and fields reflecting the brightest foliage of the season
- The kind of aerial perspective on fall in Maine that almost nobody gets

What to Expect on Your Scenic Flight
No experience necessary. Here’s how it works:
- Arrive at the airport and one of our team will greet you
- We’ll take a quick photo of your group in front of the plane
- Your pilot walks you through a brief safety briefing

- The flight is smooth and comfortable. No sudden drops, no rollercoaster feeling. If you’ve ever flown commercially, you can handle this.
- Every flight is private, just your group, no strangers
- Interactive headsets let you talk with your pilot and each other the whole time
- Up to [X] passengers per flight
- Children ages 3 to 11 fly for half price
What Passengers Say About the Fall Foliage Flight
David B. My wife and I did this as a splurge event on our trip. We flew around Mount Desert Island and enjoyed the views. The weather was great that day and the ride was smooth.
